Mayilet F Hialeah , FL February 24, 2020 Appliance: Model KENMORE 25351392106 My refrigerator items were freezing I ordered a freezer temperature control. I ordered from you because parts are certified. Last thing I wanted was to go through the replacement process with a part that didn’t work. I’m not a handy person by nature, and I have zero common sense. I watched the awesome instructional video that you provided with my order several times. Before receiving or even opening the package, I felt that I knew what to expect because I watched the video so many times. Before beginning, I made sure I had as little food as possible in the refrigerator, in case I messed up, I wouldn’t waste the food. Next, I made sure I had the right tools, particularly the 1/4” nut driver. I struggled a little because the handle on my nut driver was too long and it was impossible to reach the nut behind the water lines (3rd step in video). It’s best to have a shorter handle (like the one in the video) to access all screws. I also dropped the long nut screw from the back and it took me forever to find it. Finding the nut screw was the hardest part of this project! I paused the video after every step to make sure I did this perfectly. I found a discrepancy in the video. The styrofoam by the damper vent, in the video it looks like a simple snap out step. But the styrofoam piece is glued together. I almost broke it. To avoid breaking it and screeching this otherwise simple project to a halt, I ran the cable without removing the styrofoam and worked my way to the front (instead of front to back). This was the easiest do it yourself project I’ve done. Refrigerator seems to be working fine. Time will tell. Before I did this, liquids such as salad dressing, water and condiments would freeze - solids would freeze too. My regular left overs, etc...would be ruined because they would freeze. My water lines and filter would freeze. I can’t wait to have a working refrigerator again! If I had called a tech to fix this, it would have costed me so much more than I spent. Thank you for shipping so quickly and for the videos that really familiarized me with the process. Had repairman take care of it. Frig. runs beautifully. It would have been too difficult a repair for me. Very satisfied with Appliance Pro - parts were delivered VERY quickly and saved some $$.
