Charles E Easton , MD June 08, 2015 Appliance: Frigidaire Washer LTF2140ES3 Controller board was bad no sensible pattern to the display leds and beeping sounds For this washing machine the error is most frequently the Washer Door Lock Assembly (part number 131763202 ), and I had already replaced this part three years ago. Since the LEDs and beeping sounds were going crazy with no sensible or recognizable pattern I could not troubleshoot according to the established procedure in the manual. So I ordered another door lock assembly without attempting to troubleshoot further. Turned out to be a waste as it was not the door lock assembly. Surfing your web site and looking at some of the other peoples experiences I noticed one where the person had a similar problem with the LEDs and beeping sounds flashing and sounding off randomly. He said that the controller board (part number 137005000), was what finally fixed his washer. IMPORTANT: - Be extremely careful to make notice of the positions of the front panel knobs before removing the controller board from the back of the front panel. Also be very careful when holding the front panel after removing the controller board from it as the small front panel push button switches and their associated springs will go flying. William L Roseville , CA January 05, 2016 Appliance: Frigidaire Washer FTF2140ES3 Random beeps and lights when not in use Replaced control board after living with random beeps and indicator lights for three years. We even used an extension cord to make it easier to unplug the washer when the noises and lights would start. So far we have gone four days with no issues. We will have saved over $700 if we can avoid buying a new one. Read More... 14 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
Daniel Z Short Hills , NJ October 06, 2014 Appliance: Frigidaire Washer FTF2140FS0 Error code e41 and then e21 On the old control board I got an error code of E41. When I replaced the control board I got E21. The first problem was that I did not know that the top was supposed to slide backwards to allow access to the screws that hold the control panel. It turns out that the selector knob was out of sync with the control panel. It took a great deal of maneuvering. I finally figured to rotate the knob through its 16 positions while plugged in until it got to the place where it lit up only the spin cycle LED which is position #1 for the knob. Then I removed the knob stem from the control board and aligned it and reinserted (somewhat against its will) it so that the knob would coordinate with the board. I must've gone back and forth uninstalling and reinstalling 20 times. And I think I dropped the knobs and springs at least 5 times! To do it again I think it would take about 15 minutes. I still don't know why it showed an E21. Read More... 4 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 2+ hours Tools: Screwdrivers
Timothy V Winston Salem , NC June 22, 2014 Our frigidaire front load washer out of the blue would not start the 5 cycle lights would blink w/beeps 9 x's pause 2 seconds and repeat the same until it was unpluged Not getting a full code (only 9 with ? for second) i started looking on the net for answers. I found your site and checked your wealth of information, it all pointed to the main control panel. Still not completely sure i decided to take a chance and order the part after reading your return policy. Looked like all i had to lose was some time. I ordered the part on Sunday June 6th and received the part on Wednesday June 9th using the standard shipping - saving money and still getting the part quick. The part was waiting at my door when i got home from work so i went directly to the machine, put the new part in and plugged it up to see if this was the fix before putting it all back together. It went back to normal operation!!! Thanks for your nice easy to use site. Really like the part check to see if it is right for your model, some don't have this feature.
