Susan R Beverly Hills , FL March 03, 2017 Appliance: Frigidaire Washer FAFW4011LW0 E53 error code After taking the top off the washer I found the Tech Data Sheet ( for repair person ) The E53 code was listed as Low Voltage to the motor board and referred me to test #15. Which stated to check the "drum water NTC" ( Negative Temperature Coefficient or Thermistor). What was misleading was that there are 2 NTC's. If your washer has a "Sanitize" feature , then there is a drum water NTC as well as one on the fill valve body. IF you have the sanitize feature then you need to replace the drum water NTC if it tests bad ( should be a reading of 4.8k ohms) if it tests good then replace the motor board. IF , like me, you do not have a sanitize feature, then you'll need to replace the motor board. Because AppliancePartsPros have such a great return policy, we purchased both the motor control board as well as the main control board just in case both had gone bad. We spoke to Ashley in the office and found her to be very knowledgeable and very helpful. No more laundromat ! Thank you AppliancePartsPros ! We will recommend you to everyone! I was able to order my part, receive it next day, install it and wash three loads of clothes the same night. I don't know what I would have done if you did not carry my part in stock. Actually you saved e $300.00 doing it myself. Thanks again Read More... 1 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Pliers, Screwdrivers
