Richard C Marengo , OH August 28, 2015 Temperature setting kept increasing by itself to 90f Replaced the front panel PC Board. Part arrived in less than 48 hours from ordering it with standard shipping. (Ordered it late Wednesday night and a FedEx truck pulled in the driveway Friday midday.) It was a fairly simple job, but I am very experienced and mechanically inclined. Tips: There are (4) different sets of (3) screws that must be removed to get the part out, Each set of screws is a different size, keep them organized. Pay attention to the wire routing. Be gentle when removing or installing the connector to the main circuit board. The most confusing part of the repair is how to get the PC Board cover off. It's covered with a foam pad. You will notice a small tab of black electrical tape at the edge of the assembly. Pull on this tape, which will cleanly rip the foam pad in half lengthwise and allow you to complete the removal of the part. When it's installed at the factory, the tape is applied before assembly, and you can't reinstall it the same way. You will need to fold the tape outward to reassemble, the foam will re-stick to the PC Board cover, and the tape will stick to the front cover. It takes a little finesse to get the wires routed in the proper locations and properly seat the plastic covers. You may need to hold them in position with one hand while seating the cover with the other hand, then hold that together while you install the first screw. Don't be afraid to bend the wires to shape them properly. This applies to both the PC Board cover and the front cover. Part was an exact match, and totally plug and play. No programming, learning or switches to set. Remote worked with the new board. Simple, but tedious and requires good lighting, vision and a good Phillips screwdriver. Took about 30 minutes total, but that included cleaning the covers and coil.
