Walter R Pittsfield , ME June 25, 2014 Appliance: Frigidaire Refrigerator RT199MCW0 Freezer was running warm Freezer running warm (soft serve consistency ice cream). Set temp control to 9 (coldest setting) before compressor turned on. Figured it was the temp control. Went to AppliancePartsPros.com and found my appliance. Problem was, the schematic didn't show the temp control and I couldn't find it on the parts list. Called the 800 # and a rep helped me not only find the right part, but she asked me questions about the appliance operation and what I did to determine the cause. Then she confirmed my diagnosis as most likely being the problem. She obviously has knowledge about refrigerator-freezers. I was very impressed. She took my order over the phone. She deserves a pay raise for being sooo good at her job!!! That night the freezer was better at setting of 9 (ice cream was firm), so I waited for the new part. The part only took 4 days to arrive, I installed it 2 days later (finally got "a-Round-To-It"). I have had appliance repair experience so installation of the part was easy. However, I bet a rep might have been able to give guidance over the phone had I needed any. I set the new temp control to 5 and the compressor started right away. The next day the ice cream was hard. I changed the temp control to 4. I am very happy and so is my wife. I was able to save our family about $150.00 by doing it myself. I know, because I used to be a Sears home Appliance repair tech. I have found that about 90% of the time, AppliancePartsPros.com will match or beat the lowest prices on parts from their competitors. And they are selling the exact same parts. The other 10% of the time - the service and experience of the reps make up for any difference in pricing. I send all my friends to AppliancePartsPros, com for their appliance parts needs and they all have been very satisfied with the results.
