Keith L Lorain , OH March 10, 2017 Appliance: Frigidaire Electric Range FES367ASC F1 & f3 error codes Replaced the Controller (mother board). I previously replaced the temperature probe (316217002) but that did not resolve the problem. Replacing the Controller (318185446 / AP3583606) was much easier and quicker than replacing the probe. Simply remove the 6 or 8 screws that secure that range top and the top lifts easily exposing the Controller. There are only 4 electrical connections that easily unplug and reattach. Although the new board has more connection points, they are similarly labeled and located (L1, L2, etc.). The oven now works well with no more error codes while in the middle of cooking. Additionally, the oven timer now counts down by seconds instead of only for the last remaining minute. I estimate that the 15 or 20 minutes spent, saved me between $200 - $300 dollars. Justine M Richmond , VA August 17, 2015 Appliance: Model FRIGIDAIRE FEB24S5ASB Oven gave a loud pop and then only the display worked but not the oven or broil elements frigidaire feb24s5asb Researched online and confirmed with the VERY helpful Appliancepros chat staff that I needed a new control board. Ordered the board on a Thursday, received the NEXT DAY (wow!!) with just the regular shipping cost. Took less time to install and put the fascias back on than it did to remove the old one and the best part - YAY it works! I actually like the way the timer works better than on the old one. Overall, a great experience - helpful staff, reasonable and super fast shipping. I'd definitely come back for other parts. If you perform this repair yourself, make sure to mark the individual wires that connect to the board. On mine, there are TWO black wires that plug in right next to each other (I used electrical tape and a sharpie to designate which plug). Other than that, this is a super easy repair that anyone with a screwdriver and a little handiness can perform. Start with the two screws under the fascia (inside the lip when you open the door), then the ones on the top (2 on each side), remove the end caps (carefully), remove the outer fascia, unplug the oven light swtich and unscrew the ground, then unscrew the inner plates (there are two), tilt it towards you and unscrew the board. Kacie S Cullman , AL October 10, 2016 F1 error code when we turned the oven off and back on (per suggestions online) it appeared to work but then it wouldn't heat up We ordered the controller (per some different online suggestions). It was VERY easy to install. You basically just unscrew the outer panel, then unscrew the controller, unplug 6 or 7 wires and plug them into the new controller. Worked perfectly after that! Kenneth B Dixon , CA December 09, 2014 Appliance: Frigidaire Electric Range FES355ASC Frigidaire oven showed f1 wouldn't stop heating Replacing the controller was very easy. After killing power to the oven at the breaker, all the screws were easy to find and removing the old controller was simple. I recommend taking a picture of the wiring as it was attached to the old part to make attaching the new one simpler, although there are only three wires you could do wrong. You might also consider buying replacement plastic trim pieces for the front if any of yours have broken.
