Jayson B Florissant , MO April 20, 2014 Appliance: Frigidaire Washer FWTBB30DS0 Leaking water when filling shock absorbers broke allowing drum to rise up and break bottom of dispenser I went at this all wrong! I managed to do it without moving the suspension springs by pushing the drum down to make room to slide it out towards the back - don't do it. Yes I got it to work, but the other way with moving the top springs to other holes and removing the top metal plate would be MUCH easier. There is a YouTube video on this that I highly recommend - just wish I had seen it earlier. This part didn't come with any instructions. Eric E Carmel , IN September 23, 2014 Detergent dispenser failed (fabric softener would no longer deploy) One of the easiest fixes I've ever undertaken. I am fairly handy but not an appliance repairman by any stretch of the imagination. Replacing this part in my washing machine took ~1 hour and would have been even faster had I not chosen to replace my water supply hoses while I had the washer pulled away from the wall (those things don't last forever, you know). Search on youtube and you will find videos to help this exact process. Read More... 1 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 1-2 hours Tools: Screwdrivers
