Chris S Boulder , CO March 30, 2014 Washing machine wasn't draining properly and the drain pump sounded loud and whiny Replace the drain pump after watching a video demonstrating the process. The washing machine had run properly and emptied, so I was surprised how much water remained in the pipe after disconnecting the old pump. Plan on having 2-3 large towels underneath before removing it. The most difficult part (and most irritating) was replacing the intake and outtake hoses with the existing spring clamps. The drain hose into the pump took almost twenty minutes to attach properly. If the hardware store was a little closer or I'd realized what a pain the spring clamp would be, I'd have purchased a pair of house clamps and thrown away the spring clamps. That would have saved twenty minutes and 100% of the aggravation in replacing the pump. The entire job took 30-40 minutes. Emily H Wyoming , MI July 15, 2014 Washer would not drain or spin Cleaned drain and discharge hoses, then replaced drain pump/motor. Now works perfectly. Online repair video was excellent. Most difficult part of entire repair was re-installing the OEM spring hose clamps. If I had bought a 2-inch hose clamp from auto parts store to replace the OEM spring clamp, I could have saved 30 minutes and much aggravation. Peter Y Alameda , CA November 13, 2017 Appliance: Frigidaire Frtld Washer - Frigidaire CRTF1240AS0 Water remained in the tub on my front load washer. I changed the pump and also discovered the coin trap was wearing thin because it was rubbing against the sheet metal. So I replaced that as well. It took about 15 minutes to remove the coin trap and pump and about 20 minutes to install. The shipping was amazingly fast. I received the parts the next morning. I'm talking I ordered the parts before noon, chose the "fast shipping" option and received parts the next morning around 8:30 AM.
