This radiant surface element restores heat to one burner zone on a smooth-top electric range. Replace a burned-out element to bring back responsive, even heating for boiling, simmering, and everyday cooking. What it does:

• Generates radiant heat beneath the glass cooktop for a single cooking zone
• Helps maintain steady temperatures and even heat distribution
• Common failure symptoms: burner won't heat, heats intermittently, or heats unevenly
• Often tests open (no continuity) when failed

Install notes:

• Disconnect power before servicing; this is a high-voltage component
• Lift/prop the cooktop and remove mounting screws/clips
