William W Centerville , MA January 10, 2019 Appliance: Frigidaire Wall Oven FGET3065KFA Top oven was not coming up to temp properly First, I took an ohm reading across the elements and determined the bad one, which was failed, open circuit. (Zero continuity) I then replaced the lower heating element of the upper oven. Although the design of the oven and element make it appear that it will just drop down and slide out the front, this is not quite the case. There is not enough clearance for it to drop all the way down. You have to pull the entire double-oven unit out of the wall, separate the upper and lower halves a few inches in the front and THEN drop out the element. Getting the new one up and in is a bit tricky, too. The oven unit is heavy; so you must set up blocking to slide it out onto. I am a boat mechanic with 44 years of mechanical experience; and this job, I found a little bit of a challenge, for sure. Patience, as always, pays dividends here. Clifford K Harrellsville , NC December 06, 2019 Appliance: Electrolux Wall Oven E30EW85GSS2 Electrolux ovens E30Ew85GSS2 bottom oven not heating Turn off Power/ Breakers. Removed oven from cabinet, by pushing in 2 retaining clips on R & L (using release tools supplied with oven or use 2 screwdrivers) To make handling easier, I removed the 2 Oven doors from unit (each one weighs about 47 Pounds) removed from cabinet, placed on 2 metal milk crates, which allowed me to get under oven and access to the bottom panel, Remove 1 Phillips head screw and wire clip from panel, lightly pull panel down revealing 2 power connectors, pull off connectors from heating element, slide panel with element out. Replace element and reinstall, (note where insulation is on the panel before removing the element and ensure the same placement when installing.) Slide panel & element back in, connect power leads, seat panel, back into oven, attach wire clip, and phillips head screw. Put oven back into wall / cabinette reinstall oven doors. Michael G Mechanicsville , VA January 06, 2024 Baking coil needed to be replaced. This is for a wall oven lower burner. The entire oven has to come out of the wall to access the bottom coils. There is no way to test the coil without removing the entire oven. Once removed you can test the ohms with a voltmeter or if you just take the panel off the way this coil is you can see where it’s burned out typically. The coil is on the bottom so the unit needs to lay on its back, well I found this to be the easiest. I also replaced the thermostat at the same time just for good measures in hopes to not need to take the oven out again. It is a 2 person job. Ordered it on December 21 and had it on December 23. Got it replaced quickly. Longest part of repair was locating the element, we had to pull the oven out of the cabinet.
