Megan D Shelbyville , TN October 14, 2016 Leaking from the front corner of the door A quick google search lead me to the problem - the plastic door gasket had become loose and broken. Received the part very quickly and installed it that night after a little trial and error. What the videos don't tell you is that to properly 'seat' the gasket you need to angle it UP when you push it into the little gap. If you angle it up, it will catch and seat properly, if you just push it in normally, it won't catch on the right part and it'll just hang loose at the bottom of the door and fall right back out. Tim H North Canton , OH December 17, 2017 Frigidaire dishwasher was leaking at bottom of door Frigidaire dishwasher was leaking at bottom of door. I ordered the tub gasket replacement and door gasket replacement. Repair took less than five minutes and no tools were needed. I ran a cycle and the leaking has stopped. Thank you, appliance parts pro.com for the video resource and great customer service. This was a very small amount of risk to absorb considering it cost you $70 just to shake a repair contractors hand as you let them in the door. Not to mention they’re marked up parts and it would’ve been billed as a 15 minute to half hour repair. Peter H Nantucket , MA April 11, 2020 Appliance: Frigidaire Dishwasher, Built-In FFBD2412SS0A Dishwasher leaking at bottom of door. Naturally I thought it was the bottom door gasket. I changed that out along with the upper door gasket, both easy to do and AppliancePartsPros got the parts to me fast. This worked for a while and then I noticed the DW was leaking again, this time from the float switch. Again an easy fix and APP got me the parts right away. Another week or two and the leak reappeared under the door and occasionally around the float switch! Grrrr! Figured it might be a defective spray arm. I could not see anything wrong with it but decided to change it out anyway. APP came through again and this time it appears that the problem is solved. It seemed the old spray arm must have had a crack that allowed it to shoot high pressure wash water directly at the bottom door gasket and nearby float switch, conditions neither of them are designed to handle. Also this particular bottom door gasket can't be installed with "the bottom lip facing downward" as they tell you to do in the repair videos unless you put a new notch in its opposite end. At first I ignored the video and installed it with the lip tipped up per the factory part. At one point in desperation I notched the other end using a template to exactly locate and precisely cut the notch in the opposite end so that I could install that gasket lip down. Lip down after modification worked 10 times better than factory even with the defective spray arm! Thanks, AppliancePartsPros. Great service and very helpful repair videos! Carl K Waldron , IN February 12, 2021 Appliance: Frigidaire Dishwasher FFBD2406NB5A Leaking water while running from bottom front door Removed door to make it easier to replace bottom door Seal. You can leave the electrical hooked up to the door and still change the bottom seal. Also, replaced Tub Gasket/Seal. You will need to fit the tub seal and cut off the excess. If you have a leak, I recommend changing both seals. Read More... 2 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers, Socket Set
