Joseph P Palmyra , PA April 10, 2015 Leaking from the bottom of the tub door The dishwasher is 4 years old, so I figured since it was leaking from the bottom, replacing the Tub Gasket PN: AP5690109, Splash Shield Kit PN: AP4338941 , and the bottom Door Seal/Gasket PN: AP5809675 was a good idea; the machine probably has around 1200 cycles in 4 years. There's no telling how much the door had opened and closed!? The bottom Door Seal/Gasket was badly worn, and the entire job took me around 30 minutes which included the detailed cleaning of the mating flanges. Take your time, it's an easy job... Kevin C Aurora , CO March 02, 2015 Dishwasher leaking out the bottom corner of the door I ordered the bottom door seal and the splash shield kit, just to be safe. I probably only needed the bottom door seal. The repair was pretty easy. It should have only taken 15 minutes, but I accidentally put the old part back on instead of the new one. I did a test run of the dishwasher and was discouraged that it was still leaking, since I had been optimistic that that was going to resolve the issue. It took me a good half hour of tinkering to figure out what I had done. Don't make the same mistake I did. Keep track of which part is which! Once I got the right part on, it totally resolved the leak. I was pretty happy with the final result. Wade F Belton , TX June 29, 2014 Dishwasher door seal leaking Ordered the part from AppliancePartsPros.com and installed it. Just ordered the part and watched the video. I consider myself a moderately experienced repair guy, but this was so simple. Sometimes repairs seem easier than they actually are, but this was super easy and made all the easier by the great video that came with the part I ordered. Randall J Lake Worth, , FL July 24, 2015 Water leaking on the floor in front of the dishwasher I first watched Matt on the Appliance Pro video before ordering the product to evaluate the difficulty of the repair. Once I saw how easy it was to DIY, I ordered the parts. They arrived in 3days and the repair was a breeze. My wife thinks I'm a genius. Mary M Round Rock , TX June 12, 2014 The gasket at the bottom of my dishwasher door had popped out and waqs visibly worn and damaged It was actually kind of difficult because I could not actually see the groove where it was supposed to fit. Took me a day or so and watching a couple of videos. It is inside the door, underneath the panel you can see and the ridges on the gasket kind of snap into the groove. But you cannot see the groove, so you have to work by feel. None of the videos mentioned this. Once I figured it out, it took seconds and was easy. Some of us are visual learners. No tools were required. Read More... 21 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
