Robert V Winchester , VA November 21, 2016 Torn gasket Removed freezer door by removing 4 bolts holding slide tracks for freezer basket. Pulled out old gasket. Soaked new gasket in hot water to smooth out a crease that resulted from shipping. Installed new gasket, starting at corners. Used a blunt tool to push new gasket into slot at the corners. Set remaining gasket material with hands. Used putty knife to tuck edge of gasket under lip along door. Reinstalled door. Take care to line up door perpendicularly. There is some play when installing the bolts that can result in the door sagging and therefore not properly sealing if not aligned properly. Thomas H Leonia , NJ January 10, 2017 Needed a new gasket for my fridgedaire Found the gasket here and it was delivered in less than 24 hrs (don't know how that even happens). I was able to remove and insert the new gasket in a matter of minutes. Required no tools, just push it in place and visually inspect the seal before closing the door.
