Dave C Panton , VT November 23, 2014 Appliance: Electrolux Dishwasher EIDW6105GB1A The internal water heater in my dishwasher wasn't working After ordering a new heater and before disassembling the dishwasher to determine that it was in fact defective I found it was ok. After downloading the repair manual I saw that either the control assembly or the control pad on the door had to be at fault. I ordered both units from you and replaced the control assembly first and found that to be the fix. My first clue to the no heat problem was seeing small amounts of white film on the clean plates. I then noted the fine screen filter was packed full of un-dissolved soap power. Cleaned that out and bought liquid thinking the soap was the problem. Still didn't rinse properly. Thought maybe a dishwasher cleaner would help and that's when I found there wasn't enough heat being generated to melt the wax plug in the cleaner bottle. The light had at last lit!!!!
