Morgan B Ojai , CA October 23, 2017 Appliance: Kenmore Dishwasher 58714432200 Leaked and didn't empty or wash well The pump impeller had sheared its connection to the motor shaft and the seal had disintegrated. Subsequent running had eaten the plastic motor shaft to about 2/3rds of its original diameter. Motor (and shaft) are no longer available so I filled the gouged area with JB Weld and then filed it down to original size. Fortunately the shaft doesn't have to be super perfect because the upper portion of the seal spins with the shaft so it just needs to grip and be concentric.
