I am not a Appliance repair guy but I am retired and I am pretty handy so I thought what the heck. I watched the videos, a lot of common sense, common tools, and plenty of time. My knuckles are busted up and a little blood, but I got it done. Was actually kind of rewarding. Works like a champ. The Videos, ARE AWESOME. Bryon T Marrero , LA October 13, 2014 Appliance: Frigidaire Washer - Frig Gallery GLWS1349AS1 One of the plastic inserts for the vertical spring had broken First I unplugged the Frigidaire washing machine that I was going to work on from the outlet. I then taped the top of the top of the unit and pried the top open using a putty knife and a screwdriver. The next step was to take the front cover off of the unit. This was done by unscrewing the two Philips screws at the bottom of the cover, lifting it up and pulling it away from the unit. Then, with the assistance of my wife ( wedging the drum toward the spring to relieve tension ), I unfastened the spring from the base of the washing machine with a pair of pliers. I installed the plastic insert and reinstalled the spring using a Philips screwdriver, reinstalled the front cover, lowered the top and snapped the top in place. I then pulled the tape off of the top, plugged it into the outlet and tested the washer. Bh W Stuart , FL June 08, 2020 Appliance: Model FRIGIDAIRE FWS933FSO Flooding floor from my wash machine during the spin cycle and it never totally emptied the drum. One of the last things I read on your site was from somebody that had a similar situation. After reading there story I decided to take a chance and buy a water pump. I replaced it which was fairly easy and ran a few loads and the problem was fixed. I also bought one insert as the machine was always off center and when I opened it up I saw the piece had broke apart. Adding this piece helped center the drum. Thank You for posting these experience as it helped decide what I needed. Also, your parts ordering and delivery was awesome. I got my part in 2 days. Best Service ever! Read More...
