Gerald G St. Louis , MO August 05, 2019 Appliance: Model KENMORE MODEL 790.80363310 Microwave blew line fuse It took a long time to determine the problem but eventually I discovered that the plastic bracket (latch hook) that held the three door-switches showed appreciable wear from repeated door openings and closings. This wear stopped the door from sealing properly and the door switch safety mechanism blew the line fuse. I replaced the worn bracket (AP6230612) as well as the plastic latch mechanism (AP4553585) on the door that engages this bracket (and of course the fuse too) and the microwave now works properly. Walt T Cobb , CA November 27, 2021 Appliance: Frigidaire Microwave, Over-The-Range FFMV1645TBA It would blow a fuse when the door was opened while running. Replaced the switches. Still did it. Replaced the hook latch. Still did it. Removed the latch again and checked the switches. They all look nearly identical. The top and bottom ones should be open and the middle one closed. Checked them with an ohmmeter. One was in the wrong place and one of the new ones was faulty, replaced it and it works perfectly. App Parts Pros help team was very patient and helpful. Will order from them again… Hint- the terminals on the middle switch are a bit further apart than the other two and it has a closed circuit until the little black button is pushed (when the door is closed).
