Louise R San Diego , CA October 10, 2014 Appliance: Kenmore Dryer 11097572601 Squealing like a dolphin on start up and would quiet down after about 5 minutes of running Did a little internet search as to what the problem could have been, learned that squealing can be more than one part. Decided to look for a repair kit and was directed to Appliance Parts Pros. Watched a couple of their thorough videos until I was confident enough to tackle the problem myself. Ken W Glenrock , WY October 14, 2017 Intermittent high pitched squeal. Replaced the Idler Pulley, which I think was the problem, but also replaced the bearing the tub rotates on and the belt while I was going to have the dryer apart anyway (and I used the high Temp Lubricant on the bearing.) Watching the repair video was helpful so I didn't run into any surprises. David B Clinton , CT May 16, 2017 The dryer tube on my sister in law's stack unit was wobbling and making a horrible noise Checked online and found the possible cause as a worn drum support shaft. The information on AppliancePartsPros.com site was very helpful. It lead me to the correct parts, showed me a detailed video on exactly how to replace the shaft, told me what parts I would need and provided an easy to use ordering system for the part. On top of that, the parts arrived one day after I ordered them. GREAT SERVICE!!! Thomas J Green Bay , WI October 31, 2016 The bearing on the dryer drum wore out so bad the ball fell off I replaced the ball and socket connection for the drum. After doing so, I realized that the belt had been stretched and the tension pulley was not putting enough tension on the belt to turn the drum. After ordering a new belt, extra screw that was lost while disassembling the dryer, and some high temperature lubricant for the drum ball and socket the dryer now runs as well as it did when it was new.
