Bryce G Quincy , WA September 09, 2019 The door that lets the ice out, wouldn't stay closed. I thought a spring had broken it was the hinge on the dispenser housing. After removing the cover plate and un plugging the wires. Their are 4 screws that hold the housing to the door. with the housing out, I could see where the pivot rod for the ice door should have been, I then ordered a new housing and ice door seal. Taping up the hole in the freezer while waiting for parts. when the new housing arrived I transferred switches and the light from the old to new. I had to try several times to get the spring in the right place. I used a 6 inch "Quick-Grip" mini bar clamp to push the rod that holds the ice door and spring into place to keep from breaking the plastic housing. Read More...
