Paul S Monkton , MD October 14, 2019 Appliance: Electrolux Laundry, Washer, Front-Load EFLS617STT0 Would not cycle or spin. I was told by a service tech that the door lock switch was bad. I replaced the lock (from you folks) and it still was not working and made a strange noise when powered up Upon further examination, I found that when the tech tried to remove the motor control (for some unknown reason) he screwed down on one of the wires (pinched) and grounded the unit to the case. I can only assume that that was the cause of the strange noise. The error codes noted that the motor control was bad (which the tech never checked). I found that the removal of this item was made very difficult by one of the connectors being impossible to unclip from the socket and had to break it off the board. I repaired the broken wire and was then able to install the new unit quickly. So much for the quality of the Appliance techs these days..... Thanks for the quick turnaround on the two parts I ordered. The unit is working as before. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 1-2 hours Tools: Nut Drivers, Pliers, Screwdrivers

I took the motor out, bought a cheap multi-meter and April at Appliance Parts Pros walked me through testing it. It checked bad, so I replaced the board. It works great. The hardest part was disconnecting the connectors. Thanks April. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 1-2 hours Tools: Pliers, Screwdrivers, Socket Set
