Jermaine J Mastic Beach , NY May 18, 2015 All 4 mounting holes on the oven control board (ocb) broke Unplugged stove. Removed six 1/4 inch socket head screws from back panel. Removed back panel. Removed plug on the back of the OCB. Removed OCB. Used Philips screwdriver to remove four mounting screws (and cracked pieces of the mounting holes). If you can get to this point, installing the new OCB is pretty self explanatory. Jim R Los Angeles , CA November 26, 2015 Appliance: Frigidaire Gas Range FGF328GSD Our oven control board was dead I ordered a new control board and overlay (separate item) from AppliancePartsPros and replaced it just as the video shows. It was easy and saved me about $200 compared with the quote I got from a "technician": 1) Stick the overlay onto the front of the new control board. 2) Unplug the range's electrical cord from the wall. 3) Use a 1/4-inch nut driver to remove the back panel (a few screws). 4) Unplug the wire bundle from the old control board. 5) Use a Philips screw driver to remove the old control board (four screws). 6) Install the new control board. 7) Plug the wire bundle into the new control board. 8) Replace the back panel. 9) Plug it into the wall. It works! Read More... 6 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Nut Drivers, Screwdrivers
Errol R Medley , FL June 25, 2018 Appliance: Frigidaire Range FFEF3011LBE I blew the transformer in the oven control. The chord I plugged into was faulty..The neutral was somehow disconnected. So I blew the transformer on the replacement part as well. I had to replace the transformer on the part I purchased before i got it to work. Because the neutral was not connected on the chord. The panel was fed with 220 v instead of 110 v..Had problem finding a replacement transformer. But finally got thru. The part you supplied worked well. Would like to replace the transformer with the correct one if you could send me the specs. My fault.Your end was excellent. I submitted a description of the problem to APP, and the next morning the response verified what I suspected: a defective control board. I ordered a new control and overlay and received them in two days by standard shipping. The range is working fine again. Timothy V Pueblo , CO March 25, 2018 Oven elements not heating up Bought new control panel and overlay. I removed six screws holding back access panel on. Located control panel and removed four screws holding it in place. As I unplugged a wire or plug from the old part I plugged it in to the new part so as to not get confused about where all the wires went. JUST DO ONE WIRE AT A TIME. When finished, I replaced the four screws. Then I put the back access panel in place and replaced the the six screws holding it in place. Plugged the stove back in and everything works like new. It took a total of 15 minutes start to finish. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Nut Drivers, Pliers, Screwdrivers
