John I Gaithersburg , MD March 14, 2014 Appliance: Frigidaire Electric Range BGEF3044KFA Error Code F12 The glue behind the keypad loosened and the keypad slowly began slipping down out of place over several months. Finally, because of the movement, it warped which resulted in one of the keys being stuck. That is what gave the F12 error code. The fix was easy. I removed the control panel and then peeled off the keypad. The keypad itself then has two layers (1), the flexible circuit panel, and (2) the outward facing display. I separated the display from the circuit panel and put the new one in place. It is basically a sticker. Buttoned everything back up and it’s working perfectly. To get to the control panel. Remove the upper back panel (6 screws), unplug the panel plugs (they won’t get mixed up, they only go back in one way), and then there are 4 screws for the control panel. When you reconnect the switch pad to the control panel, you’ll need to pull up the plastic locking mechanism on the plug insert to open it. Then push it down again to lock the plug in. Of course, kill the power to the unit first! Read More... 71 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Nut Drivers, Pliers, Screwdrivers

Rob W Knoxville , TN June 21, 2021 Appliance: Frigidaire Electric Range FGEF3055KFB Frigidaire oven wouldn't reach operating temperature. Our Frigidaire oven wouldn't reach operating temperature. First, I checked to make sure there were 240 volts at the terminal block. Next I found around 16.5 ohms resistance on both the upper and lower elements. Next I found 1,090 ohms on the sensor probe at room temperature, leaving just the Oven Control Board to be the culprit. Appliance Parts Pros got me the part the next day, and it took about 30 minutes start to finish to replace, including installation of the electrical surge filter that was included in the kit. I could have used the old overlay, as it was easily removed. But my wife insisted on a new one, and it does look better.
