How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP4433205 / 316419821 Overlay

I found a faulty controller and also changed the controller overlay as it would impossible to reuse the original one. Removed upper back plate (4) screws,all electrical connectors to controller and (4) controller hold down screws. Repair took total of 10 minutes start to finish. I have a Frigidaire Gallery stove/ oven

Diagnosed the problem with help of the internet...ordered the part and replaced it myself...and I am no repairman, just a 68 year old female... 

Our Frigidaire oven wouldn't reach operating temperature. First, I checked to make sure there were 240 volts at the terminal block. Next I found around 16.5 ohms resistance on both the upper and lower elements. Next I found 1,090 ohms on the sensor probe at room temperature, leaving just the Oven Control Board to be the culprit. Appliance Parts Pros got me the part the next day, and it took about 30 minutes start to finish to replace, including installation of the electrical surge filter that was included in the kit. I could have used the old overlay, as it was easily removed. But my wife insisted on a new one, and it does look better. 

I looked online with the oven control panel in my hand until I found the exact one I needed and the only place I even found it was at AppliancePartsPros.com I ordered it online, it arrived in two days, I installed it, turned it on and as of this writing three days later it's still working perfectly. 

Ordered a new control board, installed the new board, put everything back together, plugged it back in only to find out the new board didn’t work. The error code was gone but none of the buttons worked. Unplugged unit took the back off again checked all wiring connections, everything seemed fine. My son is 15 wanted to help, took a look at it and noticed the ribbon connection was at a strange angle. He straightened out the connection and the stove works great. 

Pulled off damaged part, very easy, applied new touch panel. Simple, peel and stick application. Buttoned it up and all works great. Anyone can do this repair, no special skills required. 

I watched the video and tutorial and followed the instructions. This wasn't my first time utilizing appliance parts pros. Ordered the KIT and overlay parts for our Frigidaire appliance and it seems to have made the difference. Once each part was removed and replaced the stove is back to NORMAL. Customer service was outstanding, along with the prices for each part.
