Whatever you do, don’t wash your glass shelves with hot water right out of the refrigerator. Your shelf will explode into a million little broken pieces. If by chance you happen to do this into the garbage disposal, and it gets stuck because little glass pieces work their way into that drain, there is a red button reset and an Allen screw nut on the bottom under the sink you can turn manually to unjam. Once you manage to get the jam clear. Turn on your water into the disposal drain and flip on your disposal switch to hear sweet music once again. Barring this misstep, the repair would only take a minute or two. No tools required, parts lock and slide into place easily. All of the extra steps added in glass clean up around and in kitchen sink took about an hour and a half. Tools needed for that were shop vac, broom, dustpan, Allen wrench, flashlight, and lots of patience. Good luck all.
