Mark K Aurora , OH December 23, 2021 Appliance: Frigidaire Dishwasher FGID2466QW4A Frigidaire Gallery dishwasher door dropped to floor. Found the end of the right-side Door Spring that connects to the Door Cable broke off and the plastic end of the Door Cable that connects to the Door Spring was also broken off. Ordered a replacement Door Spring 154579101 and Door Cable 154578801 from AppliancePartsPros.com When the parts arrived a few days later, I watched the video on the AppliancePartsPros. Following the instructions on the video, it took about 15 minutes to replace the Door Spring and Door Cable. Note: I did not have to disconnect the water line as there was enough slack in the water line to allow the dishwasher to be moved out enough to replace the door spring and door cable. After replacing the door spring and door cable I had to level the dishwasher (it was not level before I started the repair). It took me about 20 minutes to level the dishwasher "front to back" and "side to side" using a bubble level and turning the leveling adjusters on the dishwasher legs until it was level. Note: The leveling process would have been faster if I had a helper to watch the level while I adjusted the levelers. I did not replace the Door Spring and Door Cable on the other side of the dishwasher door as recommended in the Appliance Parts Pros video. The reason I did not replace the opposite side Door Spring and Door Cable is because both of them appeared to be in good shape and of the high cost of the parts. Note: Appliance Parts Pros had the best price on the Door Spring and Door Cable that I could find. The dishwasher door now works good as new.
