Description

Keep your dryer tumbling smoothly by restoring proper belt tension. This idler spring attaches to the idler arm and maintains tension on the drive belt so the drum turns reliably without slipping or squealing. What it does:

• Applies constant tension to the idler pulley to keep the drive belt tight around the drum and motor
• Helps resolve a drum that won't turn or tumbles intermittently
• Addresses belt issues such as slipping off, appearing loose, or premature breakage from low tension
• Can reduce squealing/chirping from the idler area caused by belt slip

• 1 idler spring

Install notes:

• Disconnect power; for gas dryers, also shut off the gas supply
• Access the idler assembly by removing the front or lower access panel per your model
• Relieve belt tension, unhook the old spring from the idler arm/frame, and install the new spring in the same orientation and holes
• Rotate the drum by hand to check smooth operation before reassembly
