Matthew B Akron , OH December 06, 2019 Frigidaire starter relay not cooling the refrigerator or freezer I first determined that it was probably the starter relay due to the fact both fans would kick on and run the compressor will kick on and run for about 6 seconds before turning off so I called around auto parts stores on Google and nobody had the part so I bought it from appliancepartspros.com got it the next day install the parts which are very simple. I also bought a capacitor just in case if that was the problem. Boom, problem solved refrigerator ice cold as it should be. A happy man fixes the issue for $92. Thank you Appliance Parts Pros in getting that part to me as quickly as possible Read More... 11 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Nut Drivers, Pliers

Thomas R Bethlehem , PA December 21, 2021 Appliance: Frigidaire Refrigerator LFHT2117NF6 Refrigerator wouldn't run started ok but then clicked and shut off started back up but clicked off again. After reviewing a number of "Help" videos and websites, it seemed likely that the Start Relay was the problem. I removed it per the videos and shook the unit - sounded like small marbles in there. I ordered a new part ($91.00) on a Friday afternoon. It was delivered on Saturday morning. I installed it on Saturday afternoon and the frig was up and running immediately. Wallace S Daytona Beach , FL July 21, 2020 Appliance: Frigidaire Refrigerator FFTR2021TS2 Frigidaire refrigerator and freezer were not cold and compressor would not run more than a few seconds The starter relay would click and the compressor would run for a few seconds before shutting off. Every few minutes this would repeat and the compressor felt very hot to the touch. Ordered the starter relay and run capacitor that plugs into it. Replaced the capacitor first but the compressor still ran for only a few seconds before shutting off. Next replaced the starter relay with the old run capacitor and the compressor ran normally. The ice maker container was filled the next morning and the frig was cold. Quick and easy fix unplugging the old capacitor and starter. Easier to plug the capacitor into the starter relay first, then plug both into the compressor.
