Ian A San Franicsco , CA July 16, 2014 Striker snapped off in the washing machine door lock mechanism Removed the broken striker with a phillips screw driver (two screws), bought new screws to replace the original ones that were badly stripped, and attached the new striker with the new screws. Then I simply removed the broken striker piece from the door lock mechanism with needle nose pliers.
