How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP4508273 / 131763302 Door Strike

I replaced the door lock assembly and striker. The repair was so easy after I watched the 2 repair videos. I saved so much money doing the repair myself! The only tool I needed was a screwdriver. 

Simple process of removing old parts and replacing the new parts. you will need someone's help to hold up the washer door when screwing up the hinge back on to the machine. the hinge needs to be attached to the door first and then screw up the door to the machine. Very simple to do, 10 minutes to complete thanks 

Removed the broken striker with a phillips screw driver (two screws), bought new screws to replace the original ones that were badly stripped, and attached the new striker with the new screws. Then I simply removed the broken striker piece from the door lock mechanism with needle nose pliers. 

Easy fix, just unscrewed the two screws holding the latch and replaced with the new latch. 

Removed and replaced parts about 30 minutes of work. No leaks 

Replaced with new part, two screws, if yours break, also check your hing for abnormal movement 

When I retrieved the broken piece of strike out of the lock, another broken piece of plastic also came out. This indicated that something also broke loose from inside the lock, so I ordered both parts. The repair videos are extremely helpful, though on my Frigidaire Affinity model ATF6000FS1, the door gasket is secured by a spring loaded wire that had to be pried off first. I confirmed that with another video I found on You Tube. Both repairs were quick and easy. 

After reading up on the error codes, I found that my constant beeping was telling me that the door was not well latched. My machine is 12 years old and has seen heavy use, including a broken door handle that has been hanging on with copious amounts of duct tape for a while. I replaced the bent door hinge, worn door latch, and the outer handle. The entire repair required ten minutes and a Phillips head screwdriver. Now it works perfectly with NO more beeping!! I went online looked up the part ordered it and it was here by the next day even though I only payed for standard delivery. I fixed it myself as I only had to remove 2 screws place the new part on and reattach it. I'm a single woman and it was very easy. Thanks. 

I found the problem to be with the door lock assembly malfunctioning.
