My wife was very happy that now she could use her microwave again. The original plate broke. When it arrived I could not believe how well it was packed. James D Buffalo , NY February 20, 2022 Appliance: Frigidaire Microwave, Over-The-Range FFMV1645TSA Needed to replace broken tray and support ring. I received the tray in fine condition. The support ring arrived in a soft shipping pouch, and it was broken into two pieces. After notifying APPC I made repairs o the ring with toothpicks, sewing thread and glue. I really wanted my microwave back in operation. I hope you will send the replacement support ring in a box instead of a soft shipping pouch. My mother had accidentally set our microwave to be on for 10 minutes (with nothing inside) versus just the timer while cooking dinner one evening, and then we had a small kitchen fire on our hands! Once the fire was put out, we saw that we needed to replace the plastic support ring and the glass turn table tray. We were SO happy to find this website and easily order the replacement parts we needed using our microwave's make and model numbers. I did however figure out how to take it apart: 1. Wedge out the plastic frame on the inside (similar to what I searched for, however it must be completely removed rather than simply pried back.) 2. Unscrew the metal heat-sync looking thing (2 screws on handle-side of door) and remove it. 3. Now that the two handle screws are exposed, unscrew the old handle and install the new handle.
