Description

This is the variable control switch for an electric range's cooktop burner. It regulates power to the surface element so you can select steady, repeatable heat levels and restore reliable on/off control. What it does:

• Regulates voltage to a surface element based on knob position (low through high)
• Typical failure symptoms: burner won't heat, only heats on high, won't shut off, or heats inconsistently
• Can address issues when the control shaft is damaged or the switch shows signs of overheating at the terminals

Install notes:
