Loren A Windsor , WI November 28, 2020 The frigidaire microwave would blow fuses on a regular basis After doing some research the problem appeared to be the door safety switches. I ordered 3 new ones to replace all the original ones. Some minor disassembly of the microwave front was required to reach the fuse and switches. To reach the switches the control panel wires needed to be unplugged and the panel removed. After doing that replacing the switches was pretty strait forward. As of this comment the microwave has worked for 5 days without blowing the fuse so far. This has probably fixed the issue. Also replaced switches as one would stick sometimes. Put back together works like a charm. Also you don't have to remove microwave from wall to fix and while in there check fuse. Make sure to unplug before working on it. Read More... 8 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers

At first the microwave would occasionally trip the breaker when we opened the door early. Then one morning it would not run at all without tripping it. Took off the front panel and found the middle of the 3 door switches was sticking. Multimeter showed the switch as reading open even with button pressed. Ordered a replacement and microwave has been working great since. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
