Jeff B Ovalo , TX May 07, 2015 Appliance: Electrolux Refrigerator EI32AR65JS1 No cooling from refrigerator lights worked but compressor did not run Checked compressor windings - ok. Start relay looked no rattle or burning. Start capacitor seamed ok but hard to check. No 120VC to start relay at any time. Ordered thermistor, and electronic control unit. Figuring it was a bad thermistor not telling the ECU it was warm and to turn on the compressor. Or the ECU was damaged and was not sending the 120v to the compressor. Changed the thermistor first (cheapest part and as Appliance parts pros has a return policy I wanted to start there). No change. Replaced the ECU and bingo! Compressor ran and we now have a nice cold fridge. Read More... 209 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
Richard P Sugar Land , TX May 10, 2016 Appliance: Frigidaire Refrigerator FPRH19D7LF1 Frigidaire professional refrigerator temperature control was erratic Purchased a new Control Board, as well as a new Thermister. Thermister was not absolutely necessary and could have been tested but it was simple enough to just replace during the control board replacement. Since it was a good time to replace the carbon air filter, I included that in the order too. Ordering the parts was very easy and completing the order the same. Parts arrived within a couple of days, which is good to know if you are depending on an appliance working. Impressed that Appliance Parts Pro provides technical assistance during and after the sale. Parts not used can also be returned. I don't know of any other on-line stores that do that. Yes! I would buy my appliance parts again from APP. Note: Secret to removing the plug and play control board is to peel back the front cover just enough on the front of the panel. This frees the control board to slip out, after dislocating the tabs. Once the new control board is back in place, you can "re-stick" the front cover back over it. Suggest not completely removing the front cover, only enough to separate it from the control board you are removing. That way, the alignment does not change. Hope that helps you.
