Jeff B Ovalo , TX May 07, 2015 Appliance: Electrolux Refrigerator EI32AR65JS1 Electrolux Refrigerator Ei32ar65js1: No cooling from refrigerator lights worked but compressor did not run. How to replace Controller. Checked compressor windings - ok. Start relay looked no rattle or burning. Start capacitor seamed ok but hard to check. No 120VC to start relay at any time. Ordered thermistor, and electronic control unit. Figuring it was a bad thermistor not telling the ECU it was warm and to turn on the compressor. Or the ECU was damaged and was not sending the 120v to the compressor. Changed the thermistor first (cheapest part and as Appliance parts pros has a return policy I wanted to start there). No change. Replaced the ECU and bingo! Compressor ran and we now have a nice cold fridge. 209 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes
