Description

This thermostat retainer is the mounting clip that keeps the dishwasher's thermostat secured to its base or bracket. Proper retention helps maintain accurate temperature sensing and consistent heater safety through the wash and dry portions of the cycle. What it does:

• Holds the thermostat firmly in place on the base or mounting bracket
• Prevents the thermostat from shifting, vibrating loose, or falling out of position
• Supports accurate temperature sensing and overheat protection
• Common signs of a bad/missing retainer: broken or warped clip, thermostat hanging loose, intermittent heat/drying performance

Install notes:

• Disconnect power and shut off water before servicing
• Remove the lower access/toe-kick panel to reach the thermostat area
• Note the thermostat's orientation; transfer it to the new retainer and snap/secure the retainer to the existing mount/hardware
• Ensure the thermostat is fully seated and wiring is routed clear of sharp edges and hot/moving components
