Ronald M No. Tonawanda , NY March 13, 2015 Appliance: Frigidaire Washer GLTR1670AS1 Broken plastic vanes Three new vanes. Installation was easy, removed one stainless screw on each vane, slid the broken vanes toward the front of the machine, compressed the old vane slightly and came right out. They have to be slid about 1 to 2 inches forward for removal. This was an easy fix. Geoffrey C Seattle , WA November 02, 2015 Appliance: General Electric Washer WSXH208V1WW Broken drum baffle on ge front load washer Although it is a GE washer, I had already discovered that Whirlpool-branded parts are usually (always?) the same and roughly 1/3 the price. I found this one by the image and took a chance that it would be correct. It was - and it arrived in an Electrolux-branded bag. Go figure. Took 5 minutes to replace, even though I had to crush the old baffle with Channelocks to extract it. Robert C Red Lodge , MT March 12, 2016 Appliance: Model FRIGIDARE LTF530DS1 One of the vans was broken in the washing machine drum and was snagging clothes The van had one screw and four tabs holding in place and I had difficultly removing the broken one. So since it was broke, I broke it and removed the pieces. I discovered the tabs could be set by access holes and the whole van would slide into place by moving it to the back of the machine. All I had to do to remove the old van would be to remove the screw and then slide the van to the front of the machine so the tabs would align to the access holes. Read More... Lawrence C Rockford , IL November 14, 2016 I replaced the ss drum and spider (warranty) but forgot to save the plastic tumblers! so had to buy a set and install them I bought the tumblers from APP (lowest price). I watched a video that they did on YouTube. Was VERY glad to see that I did not have to disassemble the washer to install them (old ones had a screw installed from the outside of the SS drum) the newer version that was shipped to me slid into 6 channels and had 2 screws to secure them in place. Took 10 minutes to install all 3. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Nut Drivers
