This rewind spring, also known as the recoil spring, is an essential part in a small engine. Its job is to rewind the pull rope back into the starter housing and, should there be difficulty in retraction, it is often because the rewind spring has failed. This OEM replacement part works in the engines and starter systems of tillers, pressure washers, lawn mowers, snowblowers, leaf blowers, generators, edgers, and wood chippers. It is suited to brands like Toro, Cub Cadet, Briggs & Stratton, Lawn Boy, MTD, and others. The primary component is the spring, which is found inside of a metal housing. This part ships individually, and should the housing need to be replaced, it is a separate purchase.
