Flame-sensing thermocouple for generator pilot assemblies. Replace if cracked, corroded, or failing to detect flame properly. Installs at pilot light.

This thermocouple monitors the burner flame and works with the safety valve. It allows gas flow only while a flame is present and lets the valve close when no flame is detected, helping restore dependable burner operation.

• Senses burner flame heat and sends a small millivolt signal to the safety valve
• Works with the flame-failure safety system to maintain or cut gas flow based on flame presence
• Common symptoms can include: burner lights but goes out when the knob is released; needing to hold the knob down unusually long to keep the burner lit

• Disconnect power and shut off gas before servicing
• Allow the unit to cool; remove grates/caps to access the sensor tip and route the lead to the valve connection as originally installed
• Do not kink or sharply bend the lead; position the tip within the burner's flame envelope
• After reassembly, restore gas/power and test burner operation
