Used electrical tape to band both sets of wire and protect them from the metal edges between the range and control area. I replaced the control cover and installed two new burners. Perfect installation. Read More... 5 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Nut Drivers, Screwdrivers

The replacement parts were of much higher quality than the cheap, imported junk burner and bowl. The design of the burner bowl is very different. Now the burner works as expected. It is level and solid without movement and the pots and pans sit firmly on the burner and are very stable.
