Description

This ice maker feeler arm senses the ice level in the bin and controls when the icemaker starts and stops. Replacing a bent, missing, or stuck arm restores correct shutoff and helps prevent overfilling or no-ice conditions.

• Monitors the ice bucket level and raises/lowers to start or stop ice production
• Shuts the icemaker off when the bin is full; allows production when lowered
• Common symptoms: ice maker won't stop making ice/overflows, no ice when the arm is stuck up, loose or missing arm
• Restores proper on/off control of the icemaker cycle

• Disconnect power and turn off the water supply before servicing
• Remove the ice bin and, the icemaker assembly to access the arm
• Transfer any reusable hardware; seat the arm fully in its pivot points so it moves freely
• Restore power, lower the arm to the On position, and allow time for the icemaker to cycle
