Elizabeth W Pemberton , NJ March 08, 2016 Appliance: Model JNM1851SM1SS Microwave stopped heating even though it ran Chatted with a verified expert at justanswer.com (for a fee), he confirmed the parts I needed. AppliancePartsPros.com had them in stock AND they were 100% returnable/refundable if I didn't use them or weren't what was bad, even if I installed them! Where can you get that kind of guarantee anymore? Used some YouTube videos to learn how to support the microwave to get it down, & we moved it to the table, I took out the old magnetron and high voltage diode and replaced with the OEM magnetron and new diode. Plugged it in and tested it-- worked fine! Had to rehang mounting bracket that builder put up with only 2 screws, and apply weatherstripping around outside vent, but that's a whole other story! Reinstalled with husband's help (and a cooler on the stovetop for support). Cheaper than a new one, which wouldn't have matched other appliances or been as powerful, or had the all features we enjoy. Hope for another 9 years of use! Read More... 88 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Nut Drivers, Pliers, Screwdrivers
