Vicki K Indialantic , FL September 09, 2014 Appliance: General Electric Refrigerator PCF23NGTEWW The ice maker was not dispensing ice needed a replacement ice bucket & auger assembly After searching for the ice bucket & auger assembly online, I found several websites that said they had the right replacement assembly for my refrigerator. I ordered one from another website first, but when it arrived it was not the right size-it was too big. The company told me to return the assembly but they didn't know if they had the assembly I needed. So...back to the internet to search again. This time I came across AppliancePartsPros.com & searched on their website for the assembly. The result of that search came up with what looked like the right assembly, but I was unsure about ordering it because of my previous experience. I called the Customer Service phone number & explained my situation to Holly. She was so courteous & professional, & was able to tell me that I had the correct replacement assembly for my refrigerator. Holly took my order over the phone & told me to expect the assembly in a few days. Imagine how pleasantly surprised I was when the assembly arrived the very next day! I opened the box, washed the new assembly, took the broken assembly out & slid the new assembly into place - PERFECT FIT! Less than 15 minutes & no tools required! I have since discovered that AppliancePartsPros.com has a tool on each parts page where you can enter your appliance's model number & it will tell you if the part is the right one - so you don't even have to call! Really nice feature, but then you don't get to talk to Holly! Thank you, AppliancePartsPros.com, for such a positive internet buying experience! I will definitely recommend your site to everyone I know! P.S. I tried to submit this review right after I received my replacement part, but was unable to because "None" was not an option under the "Which tools did you use?" question. Without answering that question I couldn't proceed. I revisited the review page today & was delighted to notice that the "None" option is now available. I was finally able to submit my review! Russell F Denver , CO February 24, 2015 Ice maker sounded like it would spin but sounded like it was jammed and "skipping" I took apart my existing ice maker and noticed that the turning rod had pushed through the front of the plastic on the ice maker. I believe this shift, by about 1/2" caused the metal pieces that engage the rear of the ice maker, the plastic housing and thus the rod to skip, or not get leverage to turn. I at first tried to replace the rear plastic "cup" and clips on the front to hold the rod back, but it didn't work. I finally just broke down and ordered an entirely new assembly, and now things work great again. Jeff H Whitesboro , TX August 24, 2015 Appliance: General Electric Refrigerator GSC23LSQASS Ice maker would not dispense ice and made a loud grinding sound when operating Our icemaker had not worked properly since we bought our home in 2012. GE Appliance repair came out during the warranty period and did a partial fix on the ice maker bucket that kept it working for a while. After another two years of it not working right, I finally broke down and called them again even though it was under warranty. The service repairman said it would be over $400 to replace the bucket and auger assembly. He also unofficially suggested that we might find the part online for less. We cancelled the repair, took his suggestion and I found appliancepartspros.com. I ordered a new bucket and auger assembly from them for less than half the GE repair cost and in two days had the new bucket. Popped it in and 3 years of frustration was gone! Wish I had known to order the new bucket and assembly from AppliancePartsPros.com a long time ago!! Sean M Reno , NE August 05, 2014 Appliance: Model WR17X12079 Ice bucket dispenser was thrashed to the point where it was cheaper to replace entire bucket than individual pieces I turned on my computer. I searched the internet for the specific part number (GE Ice Bucket). I came across a few websites offering replacement buckets around the same price. Then I checked shipping and AppliancePartsPros.com was the only one that would get the item here in a relatively short time-frame for regular shipping cost. Ordered the bucket (big box) Friday morning. and had it in hand Saturday! I did not pay for one day shipping mind you! Or Saturday delivery. And yet, there it was. I still don't believe it. We opened the box, cleaned the bucket, and slid it into the fridge. For the first time in over a year, we can actually have crushed ice again. To my family, I am a hero. I will certainly be using this site for future appliance parts! Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes
