Chong K Whitter , CA December 15, 2015 Appliance: General Electric Gas Range JGS968SH3SS Producing yellow flame that causes terrible black soots under pots & pans Since my Ge Profile Gas Stove has non adjustable air & gas mixture valve, my options were limited to couple of other components. I took on online suggestions and replaced the Orifice at the burner with no luck, I also replaced Pressure Regulator with the same result, thinking the last thing that I could possible do myself was trying a new burrner head before calling service man, so I made a contact with AppliancePartsPros.com and check the price of the part and figuring I could risk around $60.00 rather than $200 - $300 for servicing it with pro. I ordered & replaced the burner head, the moment I turned the stove knob, voila... blue flames pure blue, no longer I see the dreadful yellow flames, there.. I finally fixed the problem.
