Description

The DAMPER VENT is an OEM component specifically designed for GE washers. It is located within the vent system and is responsible for regulating airflow during spinning and draining cycles. The damper vent precisely controls the intake and expulsion of air, moisture, and odors for efficient drying performance.

Causes of a bad damper vent can include lint or debris buildup that impedes movement, wear and tear of moving parts over time or damage to the vent or its attachment point.

Symptoms of a bad damper vent include:

• Excessive moisture remaining in the drum after cycles
• Hampered air flow resulting in poor drying
• Strange noises emanating from the vent area
• Dust or lint emitting from the vent instead of being expelled

Replace yours today with this genuine OEM GE part to ensure optimal moisture removal and ventilation. This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.
