Joseph B Pen Argyl , PA April 16, 2019 Appliance: Model PP945BOM1BB The cooktop controller would not properly maintain burner temperature. Unit kept clicking like a morse code signal I repaired the problem by replacing the Power Board assembly and the daughter relay board. Not sure which one was the problem. Since I had it apart I replaced both. So far the unit is working like new. Everything was plug in, so I didn't have to worry about complex wiring. I took pictures prior to disassembly to make sure I got the reassembly right. Worth the effort to fix it- very satisfying. Steven S N Ft Myers , FL July 24, 2020 Cooktop lost all power Checked the breaker switch, no effect, checked power at the cooktop connection, on and off with the breaker. I shy away from electronics, but the repair guy that came out took the cooktop apart, hooked up a volt meter to the upper board and said that the lower board was not working correctly. He said it would take 2 weeks to get the part. Well, that's not happening, so I ordered the part got both boards overnight and installed them myself. Everything works fine now, saved time and money. Keith S Hopwood , PA February 11, 2020 Appliance: Model P P945B M2BB (GE) My cooktop was making a clicking noise sounded like morse code! I had a repair tech diagnose the problem. He said the Daughter Board was no longer available. I located the board on AppliancePartsPros.com. After I viewed a "How To" video on thier site, I also purchased the two different tapes needed to complete the repair. I am a retired school teacher. NOT an electronics wizard. The total time to repair my cooktop was about an hour. My total cost was under $130.00 Much better than the $1200.00 for a new replacement unit. Shipping was fast and to my door.
