Jeff J Lex , KY March 11, 2015 My ge performance plus dishwasher quit working the control panel would not light up and allow me to choose a cyle to run With the power to the dishwasher on, I removed the six or seven screws holding the door panel together. With the door separated, I manually moved the switch which should close when the dishwasher latch closes. This illuminated and activated the control panel telling me that the problem was in the door latch. I purchased a new latch from appliance parts pros and installed it. For some reason it would stick in one position. Ordered the new latch, it came 2 or 3 days sooner than I was expecting it, and my great granddaughter and I replaced it.
