However, progressively its cleaning ability diminished. By replacing all the spray arms (clogged with debris), filters, drain hose, and sump...this dishwasher cleans like it did when it was new! Cost was around $100 (also replaced a wheel and the silverware basket) and labor was relatively simple. And to think...my mother-in-law said, "Wouldn't it just be easier to buy a new one?!?". Jamie R Gladwin , MI November 10, 2019 Appliance: General Electric Dishwasher GLD4408R10WW Washer was not draining overflowed out under the door I replaced the drain pump, drain hose, and sump filter. Repairs took me about 2 hours. I just followed the advice from the videos which are great by the way. I had to pull the washer back out to tighten the drain hose connection but my washer is working like new again.
