Easy access to sump and drain flapper valve that I also replaced. Rubber sump coming apart into soft pills & chunks and plugging spray arms. Better now but it's rediculous that GE would make components that dissolve this way. The flapper valve was included in the assembly, so I did not need to order that. On previous repairs, the old drain hose was tricky to reinstall, so I replaced it and the hose clamp.The silverware basket had holes in the bottom and required replacement. Marty B Quitman , LA September 16, 2014 Flapper valve in drain pump line was worn out Turned water off to appliance. Then turned power off and pulled dishwasher out of cabinet. Drained water from dishwasher and turned it on it's side. I then disconnected water line and discharge hose from dishwasher. I removed the drain pump and hose and replaced the flapper valve. I then put it back together and reinstalled it in the cabinet. Total time for repair was approximately 30 minutes.
