Go to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KGb-U0t-qCM Even though it says :Whirlpool/KitchenAid/Maytag Door Handle W10259243" it works for the GE PVM1790SR1SS The difference is the removal of the top vent panel, which unscrews from the top on the GE. Also, the door removal is easier on the GE: just lift and slide out. The process of disassembling the door and installing the handle are exactly the same as shown in the video. You will need a putty knife to snap out the inside trim. You need six quarters (25cent coins) to hold the snap-in clamps away while you remove the inner part of the door in order to access the handle screws. It was hard because I did not know what to do...if I had to do it again, it would be pretty easy. Alan P Boynton Beach , FL January 10, 2017 Appliance: General Electric Microwave PVM1790SR1SS 2 retaining tabs on upper grille snapped off Easy fix - removed 2 Phillips head screws holding broken portion of tabs, then used needle nose pliers to pull out broken pieces. Inserted tabs from new grille into slots and aligned with screw holes at top and screwed in 2 screws. Took all of 5 - 10 minutes to accomplish! The microwave itself worked fine; but the Vent Grill on the top of the micro which is housed right under a cabinet just "fell" while I was cooking. I purchased this condo and this appliance was already installed. Since this is a convection/microwave oven, I decided to see if I could salvage micro. Cleaned out micro really good, cleaned filters, etc. Checked on internet; found your company, found part. It arrived like as stated, packaged well. I replaced vent assembly after watch a couple of you tube videos. It wasn't hard at all.
