Patricia W Grand Rapids , MN April 12, 2015 The handle to my microwave disintegrated I called an appliance repair man to see if he would come and install the new handle but he said I would have to bring either the microwave or the door to him. With the microwave above the stove that wasn't going to happen so I fixed it myself and I am 75. The handle was a lot cheaper than buying a new microwave and getting someone to install it. I did have to use the old screws and new screws would have helped since I dropped one and it went under the stove. I replaced the handle, which was very easy. I found ample examples of how to do it on You Tube. I expected there to be sensor damage as well, but was wrong. With the new handle installed, the micro operates perfectly. I saved money and time considering that a visit from my home warranty repair guy would have cost $75 for the visit alone... Had we replaced the handle at the first sign of a break, it would have been in and out in less than 5 minutes.
